From 28/11/2016 to 05/12/2016, 2-way temporary traffic lights will be in operation 24 hours a day on Styal Road, Manchester. The traffic lights are required while gas diversion works take place as part of the construction of the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road’s junction with Styal Road.
The works will take place near to the entrance of CMS’s Styal Road offices, with the temporary traffic lights situated 100 metres in each direction. The traffic lights will be manned during working hours to help with traffic flow.
All works will be undertaken Mondays to Fridays from 7am to 6pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, however, the traffic lights need to be in place 24 hours a day due to the nature of the works.
All traffic management associated with the A6MARR is approved by the local highway authority (in this case Manchester City Council) so that it is coordinated with any other works taking place in the area to minimise disruption.
