From 9.30am on 28th February until 3.30pm 3rd March, temporary traffic lights will be in operation on the A6, between Hazel Grove and High Lane as part of the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road works in this area.
Working hours will be 7am to 6pm, however, due to the nature of the works which require a trench to be dug in the road, the traffic lights may need to be in operation 24 hours a day. Members of the Carillion Morgan Sindall Traffic Management team will be on site from 6.30am to 6.30pm to monitor the traffic lights and adjust the timings to best manage the queues in each direction.
The traffic lights are required while electricity cable diversion works are undertaken by Electricity North West Ltd. Carillion Morgan Sindall is working with ENWL to minimise the duration of the works and the traffic signals will be removed as quickly as possible once the works are complete.
We apologise in advance for delays caused to journeys as a result of these works
