Overnight on Saturday 8th/Sunday 9th September 2018 (one night) changes will be made to the traffic movements on Ringway Road as we progress the works at the tie-in between Ringway Road and the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road (A6MARR).
With reference to the plan below:
- Ringway Road will be closed to eastbound traffic from immediately west of the Shadowmoss Road junction. Eastbound traffic bound for the Airport and beyond will be transferred on the new A6MARR.
- Ringway Road will remain open to two-way traffic between Styal Road and Shadowmoss Road.
- Temporary traffic lights will be in operation at the Styal Road/ A6MARR junction to control traffic movements onto and off the A6MARR until the permanent traffic lights have been installed at the junction. The temporary traffic lights will be staffed 06.30am and 6.30pm, 7 days a week. Timings will be adjusted as necessary to best manage traffic flows at the junction.
- A pedestrian route will be provided between the Ringway Road pedestrian crossing and Shadowmoss Road through the closed section of Ringway Road.
Signage will be in place to direct drivers onto the new route. The temporary traffic management arrangements have been developed to keep disruption to a minimum while the A6MARR works progress.
Highway arrangement from 9th September 2018.
