Construction – One year In
We have made good progress with construction works over the last year, despite very poor weather during November and December 2015, and we remain on track to open the road by late 2017.
Forthcoming works on the A6 Buxton Road, Hazel Grove
From 1st February 2016 to 6th March 2016, temporary two-way traffic signals will be in place on the A6 between High Lane and Hazel Grove. This is to allow utility diversions for electricity, BT and gas to be undertaken at the northern tie-in point for the new realigned section of the A6, currently under construction.
Three week closure of Woodford Road, Poynton from 23rd November 2015
From 23rd November 2015, Woodford Road, Poynton is to be closed for a three week period (24 hours a day) as part of works to construct the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road (A6MARR).
